Rev. Ivy Gash - McCord
Minister

Reverend Ivy Gash McCord, a native of South River, New Jersey. She is the daughter of the late Deacon Aaron & Minnie Gash. Reverend McCord was called into the Gospel Ministry on September 3, 1995, licensed to preach, and ordained in the Gospel Ministry on April 23, 1998, at the Sharon Baptist Church New Brunswick by her former Pastor the Late Reverend James R. Kirk.


She was an Associate Minister at the Clear View Baptist Church, Newark NJ under the leadership of Pastor Reverend Curtis W. Belle, Jr. She was also chaplain of the Sunday School Ministry, Sunday School Teacher for the Adult Class, and Facilitator for one of the Annual Small Group Studies. And also a past Volunteer Pastor at the Broadway House for  Continuing Care for HIV/ AIDS in Newark, New Jersey. Reverend McCord, a past Musician for many churches beginning at the age of 15 years old. She is currently a Musician for the District Union #1 of Central Jersey, Associate Minister at Tabernacle Baptist Church, New Brunswick under the leadership of Pastor Ryan Michael Buckland, and a member of the Praise Team Ministry.


Reverend McCord is currently employed at Comfort Keepers as a Certified Home Health Aide. She is married to the love of her life, Mr. Matthew McCord, the mother of three (3) beautiful children: Aisha, Eugene, and Eboni Smith, grandmother of seven (7) Najay Nile, Taquan, Treasure, Indiyah, Samiyah, and Braylen, one (1) bonus grandson Omari Williams and new addition great-grandson Kyrie Aiden Smith.
