Rev. Dwayne M. Harris

Has been active in the church since the age of 14. He entered Ministry in 2005 when he was ordained a Local Deacon at the Quinn Chapel A.M.E Church in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.  After receiving formal training in the Ministerial Institute, Rev. Harris was ordained an Elder and served as Associate Pastor and Director of Christian Education until his relocation to Mercer County. 

Rev. Harris earned a degree in Marketing from Seton Hall University, a degree in Business Administration from Purdue Global, a master’s degree in Practical Theology from Regent University and is currently working on his dissertation pursuing a Phd. in Public Administration from Liberty University.

 Rev. Harris married his wife Bridget and they currently reside in Lawrenceville, NJ.  He has been employed in Municipal Government for the past 17-years serving as the Municipal Clerk for the Borough of Atlantic Highlands, the former City Clerk in the City of Trenton, former Business Administrator in the Borough of Berlin and currently as Township Clerk for the Township of Howell.  In addition, he was recently appointed as an Associate Agency Owner with Farmers Insurance.  Prior to his work in government, Rev. Harris worked for 14-years in restaurant development and management for several quick service restaurant chains.

Rev. Harris is a Silver Life member in the NAACP and served as the treasurer for the Greater Red Bank Area. He served as the former Province Archon of New Jersey for the Sigma Pi Fraternity, International and currently serves as a member on the Board of Directors for the NJ Human Development Corporation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization of the A.M.E. Church that provides communities with knowledge, skills and services for the purpose of educating individuals for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. 

 Rev. Harris is an effective communicator of God’s Word, known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. His favorite portion of Scripture comes from 1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am; and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain…”
