Superintendent Of Sunday School
Reverend Linda Wilson is a women of God; saved sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit. She accepted Christ at the age of eleven (11). She surrendered to the call of God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and was licensed on May 12, 2007 by the Tabernacle Baptist Church, New Brunswick, New Jersey. On June 5, 2011 she was ordained into the Gospel ministry by the District Union of Central Jersey and the Tabernacle Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Leo H. Graham.
Rev. Wilson has served in the church for many years in several capacities, including Sunday School teacher, Choir, Missionary ministry, and Women’s Outreach ministry. She presently serves as Superintendent of the Sunday School, Bible Study teacher, and a member of the Ministerial Staff.
Rev. Wilson studied Accounting at Raritan Valley Community College; she received a Certificatein Business Supervision from Rutgers University Division of Continuing Education. She graduated from Monmouth Bible Institute in 1991 with a diploma in Religious Education and a certificate in Advanced Church Ministries. She attended Somerset Christian College, and later graduated from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion.
Rev. Wilson retired from Verizon Communications as a Network Technician after thirty-two years of service. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Plainfield- New Brunswick Council, where she held several positions, including Council secretary and Council President. She volunteered many hours of community service helping those in need. After retiring from Verizon, Rev. Wilson was employed as a bus driver for fifteen years before completely leaving the secular workforce.
Rev. Wilson has a heart for spiritually lost. It is her desire to preach to gospel of Jesus Christ to the saving of lost souls. Her ultimate passion is to please God in all that she does while living out her God-given assignment.
Rev. Wilson is married to Trustee Charles E. Wilson; she is a mother and grandmother. Most important, she is a child of God, and considers it and honor and privilege to be God’s chosen vessel, entrusted with the preaching of the Gospel. ” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto Salvation, to everyone that believers” (Romans1:16 ).
